Today
I have been with my husband for 2 years. And next week it is our first wedding anniversary.
I am still waiting for him to realise what the day is. Perhaps he has forgotten that 2 years today we got together. Is it only women that rememeber things like this. Dates and stuff?. I know he will remember our wedding anniversary as we have been chatting about what we are going to do about it. I mean we have to plan and think about what wont tire me out too much.
But i would of thought that he might of remembered 2 years ago today. I mean it was hard going in the beginning so its quite memorable.
Oh i feel a little fed up now thinking that he has forgotten. I mean i dont expect fan fares or anything as we are celebrating next week. But a little reconition would be nice.
I think i might go back to bed. But while i am away any suggestions on what we should do on our anniversary next week would be much appreciated. Remember a few points though - I cant eat that much at the moment. I cant sit down for long periods of time and i cant be on my feet for long periods of time either due to water retention in my ankles and feet.

Hmmmm…. I don’t think I’d remember THAT anniversary if I’m honest (not that we had a specific date when we got together…) I think it’s a blokes thing, we’re not good with dates. But forgetting the wedding anniversary would be unacceptable…
Could you go to spa for the day? You can float in a jacuzzi and take all the weight off your aching limbs…?
I remember the important dates. I’ve got them tattooed in a strategic location…like Guy Pierce from Memento. OK not really but the important date also happens to be my friend’s birthday. If it wasn’t then I’d never remember.
If you want him to remember then you need to write it on the calendar and then draw his attention to it using your womanly wiles.
I note the date (and time) we first met, the date (and time) we first started going out and (if I ever got that far) would note the date (and time) we got married. With my last ex I celebrated every month. Not all women remember not all men forget.
My problem is I now remember every month I’ve been single
Perhaps it has slipped his mind with all the baby stuff going on? Men are hopeless with dates like that. The Frog is a freak.
For your anniversary you could play musical chairs! Not sitting too long, not standing too long. Gee, I am too funny xxx

CM – oh the spa sounds nice. But your not allowed in saunas and jacuzzis (however you spell it) when you are pregnant as it is too hot for the baby and not safe. Besides if i got in one of those it would take a crain to get me out. x
I have to say that my boy remembers dates better than me. I’m useless. I remember three days later and then say “oh yeah, it was a 20 months the other day!” I’ve been with him since Dec 2005 and we originally had two dates like in Spaced. But not quite like in Spaced, okay?!
Hmmmm ideas…… you can’t sit, you can’t stand…. I like the idea about the spa pool…. but to make it more macho for the boy you could go to space for the day?!

A freak? Obviously I should be offended but I quite like the label. It implies uniqueness and a differing world view.
F.A.B you need to drop hints soon if you don’t want to end up with garage flowers and After Eights. By hints I mean telling him that you want a curry* because it’s an important anniversary.
*Alternatives include Chinese or pizza. A KFC crud bucket doesn’t count.
Hmm, I’d probably not remember that so much either, date got engaged and date married – yes, but I’m not sure guys think the same way.
Just enjoy being together, have a little wander down memory lane. Remember the little things and continue to let them grow. As for remembering dates, I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on it. It’s the fact that you will always have memories to look back on and so much to look forward to together and as a family that counts.

Also, something that is true of my husband and I but may not be the same for others, but we can barely remember a specific time when we where just a twosome. (BC, before children) I think the family memories, time with the children have a way of engulfing your heart and you think, even if just for a minute or two that its always been that way. I’m talking rubbish now.
Hey, I know the date I started dating my wife. But what happens on that particular day? You guessed it, I never realize till it’s passed !!

I didnt have to hint at all Froggy as he came home early and i was asleep in bed. He looked on the computer and saw my blog.. hahaha. He came straight upstairs an woke me up with a Happy Anniversary.
We then sold our car and made a bit of money so he trated me to chinese and we drank lilt and iron brew out of wine glasses…. so romantic. lol
