Right, first things first. I am installing your help. Pretty please with sugar on the top.
Please please vote for my baby. If i win i get £50 worth of mothercare vouchers which is ace because having a baby is expensive stuff and i wanna buy her some pretty things for the summer. Ok so clicky click here – VOTE. She is on page 64. (its the daisy picture). Thanks ya all.

Well the bathroom didnt quite go to plan. In fact its a disaster and i just could of cried.
The boy set to work last Sunday. Stripping the floor to the wooden slats only to find that layer upon layer  of flooring had been pilled onto of one another. The reason came clear when getting down to the wooden slats and we realised that we had a toilet leak. One that had been leaking since we moved in nearly 2 years ago. And it smelt – bad.
The floorboards were black with wetness. The toilet had to be taken out, a washer replaced and some piping and the floor left to dry for 3 days. Which meant that we had to go in with flip flops on as the floor was trying to dry and smelt of wee. Awful!!!.
Last night, dry and clean. The boy popped on some wooden boarding ready for the floor tiles to go on. But what a nightmare. I have had to have all the upstairs windows open since Sunday.
So much for an easy job and instead of costing us around £15 to re tile. It has cost us over £100 and lots more manual labour.  Enough of talking sh1t. hehe

This weekend we are helping with ‘Ready for action’.  Bascally it is helping the community. Going around houses and seeing if they need any work doing to there garden or house. For people who are unable to do the work anymore due to old age or poorly. It is done in 3 different areas of our town. My hubby is filming the event and becasue i have a small baby and unable to trapes around peoples gardens i am opening my house up to the workers for tea, coffee, cake and pee brakes (so glad my bathroom with now be fixed).
It shoud be a really good event and a lot of rubbish will be shifted.
I am hoping to do a bit around the house myself this weekend. The back garden needs sorting for starters and then there is the hallway that needs a good paint. I will of cource be juggling the baby around all of this. Hurrah for multi tasking. Lets hope the weather hold out.

So yes we are preparing the house for a move. I just cant wait to move. I dream about it.
There is nothing wrong with out current house. I mean it has been great for our first property and good to get on the market. But now we need more space.
So this is what we want – 3 bedrooms, front and back garden with grass and space for a shed, nice size kitchen (hub of the home) and space to make our own mark. When we move we will stay in our house for 5 years so it needs to be right.
I have so many ideas and plans of what i want to do being the artist i am. I know the coulors of the rooms i want to paint and the little touches i want to put on.
So exciting. Obvously i am not thinking about the stress of moving. I mean, i cant possibly do much of it as i need to look after the baby. hehe.
Firstly. We need to find a house. And we cant move until Oct as that is when the mortgage runs out.

Now for the last bit of news. We are off on our first holiday as a family.
We are going to Wales. hurrah.
So we are planning to go on the Wednesday and come back on the Sunday. I cant wait.
We are staying in the hubbys Dads caravan. A lot of planning and a lot of things to take for the baby but yay were off.
I so need a holiday. I know its going to be short but its going to be great.
I will make sure i take lots of pictures of our first holiday as a family.

See you all in a few weeks. And have a great bank holiday. x

Ugh, I spent last weekend putting flooring up in the loft. That was horrible, and while not as bad as what you describe, what started as a “simple” job turned out to be quite complex with having to remove access ladders, cut around the access hatch, and so on.

I’m NOT looking forward to this weekend when we’re hoping/planning to finish! :(

    Hurrah for Holidays tho!! :)

Super photo….as a proud Dad I can remember making daisy chains for daughter…..now 39!

    Voted for Amica!

Your’e having a crazy time, and of course all these ’small’ jobs suddenly become rather large, and sometimes out of hand!

Have a good break, (and after being in a caravan, almost anywhere will seem large!) and best of luck with the house-hunting!

    I voted! :)

You’re lucky you didn’t find a pile of ants in your bathroom. Try taking the toilet off the floor and ants come pouring out of that space inside the underneath of the toilet. Not pleasant. Trust me.

Oh, you are going to Wales! That will be fun. I hear they speak a different language there. :)
